What's New:

2022
My solo show, “Flower Pleasure: Books, Bookmarks, and Watercolors” is on view at the Elisabeth C. Miller Library at the University of Washington Botanic Gardens from July 5 to July 28, 2022. A “meet the artist” event is scheduled for July 7, from 3-5 p.m. Greatly inspired by the Miller Library itself and its amazing collection of horticultural books from ancient herbals to modern books on ecology, the show includes bookmarks with images from Gerard’s herbal of 1597 and quotes from garden writers. I also used Gerard’s image to inspire large watercolors. And the show includes a set of artists’ books “A Flower Year: Books I-XII” with short essays and printed and hand-painted images, another artists’ book, “A Pumpkin Season” (accordion-fold and 15 feet when extended), and 30 images from daily watercolors done of flower-strewn objects from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

What's New:

2021
My work is included in the Bainbridge Arts and Crafts exhibition “Essential,” opening 3 September 2021 with a reception from 6-8 p.m. “Essential” will be on view for the entire month of September.

Included are large watercolors of flowers and more of the Blue and White series. Also featured is “The Garden Project,” where I added my images to the words of 50 local gardeners, who responded to my request to tell a little about their gardens and their gardening. These small pieces will stretch along a gallery wall - like pages from a gardening book.( My portion of proceeds will be donated to the local food bank.)
